FUNDA TRUST is a non-profit organisation registered in the United Kingdom.
The trust works with various education and non-education stakeholders to improve the quality of education in underserved communities. It, in conjunction with government authorities, has identified multiple areas of intervention that will enhance the learning experience of learners, i.e. Teacher Development and Training, Teaching Assistant Training and Uniform Manufacturing.

Teacher Training and Development Programme
Our first project is called Fundisa Teacher Training and Development Programme, which intends to empower teachers to be key catalysts of change in their schools. By empowering teachers, we hope for overall cultural transformation and a high- performance value system will emerge.
The project will have an impact on the internal and external stakeholders of the school ecosystem. The ultimate goal is centre the school as a strategic hub for sustainable learning and communal cohesion. It will do this by empowering key stakeholders that are important in the long term sustainability of a collaborative culture of excellence. It will also aim for Cultural Transformation of the schools. Organic development of an excellence outlook, interactions to reflect and champion collaborative principles.

Pilot Project
The trust has been granted a mandate by the South African National Department of Basic Education and Department of education of the Eastern Cape to run a pilot project in 2022 in the province. All schools have one in thing in common, they are underperforming schools and are faced with severe socio-economic problems that affect the performance of the learners.

The trust was recognised by the British Member of Parliament Sir David Amess and we was subsequently supported and endorsed by the then Minister of Africa Honourable Penny Mordaunt
We have created various platforms for interested parties to join us in our worthwhile journey. Whether you are an individual, organisation or company, you can make a valuable contribution in assisting us attain our vision and improve the quality of education of children in South Africa.
We have created three funding packages for potential funders. The packages are tailored
around the likely funding interests and appetites for funders that might be more inclined to fund specific requirements.
There are various roles that are available for volunteers to inject capacity and contribute to
the project with their respective skills and experience.

So I became a part and trustee of FUNDA TRUST.
Through FUNDA TRUST I get the chance to give back what I had my whole life - access to education and support.
We understand that the vision that we have set for the trust is a mammoth task that will take multi-stakeholders with diverse expertise. We have therefore established partnership with key institutions that have a vested interest in the advancement of education standards in South Africa. The following are just a few:
